ABC Video was the home video branch of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, which aired Inspector Gadget in Australia from 26 July 1984 to 8 February 1991. The ABC issued six VHS releases of the show after they dropped it from their network.
Even though the cartoon is aimed at older kids, the 1991 ABC for Kids promo for preschool shows appears at the start of each volume.
